What I Thought
What I Thought:
*I would put on my super hero cape and burst through this whole thing.
What Actually Happened:
*There were days I thought I actually touched death. Every 2 weeks for 12 days straight I couldn't get myself up, except in the mornings to help the girls get ready for school and make them breakfast. After that, I could hardly do anything else for the rest of the day
What I Thought:
*I could catch up on movies, binge watch TV shows, and read to my little heart's desire.
What Actually Happened:
*I could hardly keep my eyes open to watch or read anything for more than an hour.
What I Thought:
*I would sit in a chemo chair and relax or play games with other cancer patients receiving chemo.
What Actually Happened:
*I had to go to the back room and lay on a bed in order to receive my chemo through my abdomen. By the way, most patients fall asleep or just play on their devices.
What I Thought:
*With all money we have payed to insurance companies over the years, we wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket.
What Actually Happened:
*Every chemo session is a co-pay. Every scan, surgery or future procedures have cost us thousands and thousands of dollars!
What I Thought:
*My oncologist gave us a schedule starting last August through January of when scans/tests, chemo and any other procedures should take place.
What Actually Happened:
*With the fault of INSURANCE again, I am still waiting on the hot chemo procedure and laparoscopy so my oncologist can finally tell me I'm in remission.
